Loliem duo seriously hurt in Gulem mishap

Two persons were seriously injured when the motorcycle in which they were traveling collided against a car at Gulem-Canacona early Monday morning.
According to Canacona police, Francis Fernandes (23) and Anjelina Fernandes (22), both from Loliem, were seriously injured and were rushed to GMC Hospital at Bambolim in an unconscious state.
Police informed that the mishap occurred when the injured were traveling towards Margao on their Pulsar motorcycle (GA-09 F-1837). On reaching Gulem, the two-wheeler reportedly overtook a vehicle, but soon hit an oncoming Innova car (AP-03 AC1234) resulting in the accident.
Both the injured were first shifted to CHC and then taken to GMC Hospital and are still not in a position to record their statements, informed Canacona police.
The car driver was booked and further investigation is in progress.
