Boy commits suicide after failing in exam

A 16-year-old student from Saliswado-Parra committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan, after he failed in his examination on Monday afternoon.
According to Mapusa police, after Walter Martins received his exam report by post on Monday morning, his elder brother Westen opened the envelope and informed Walter that he has failed in Std VIII examination.
“Thereafter at about 12.30 noon, Westen went to drop his other brother to answer the examination. However on his return, Westen found Walter hanging to the ceiling fan,” informed the police.
He immediately informed the police, who after conducting panchanama sent the body to GMC Hospital at Bambolim for post mortem. PSI Brandon D’Souza is investigating the case.
