MARGAO, NOV 4
While councilor elect of ward 8 had a meeting along with the Alemao-Sardessai at Madel, losing candidate Purnanand Chari along with his supporters had an election review meeting at the other corner of the ward last night.
While disclosing plan to form a Vigilant Action Committee comprising of the ward people, Chari served a 15-day ultimatum on the SGPDA to put the wholesale fish market in order and stop the nuisance created to the Madel resident. Chari warned that the residents would be forced to come on the streets if the authorities fail to act.
Thanking his supporters, Chari said they may be losers, but have won the hearts of the people with their simple and united campaign.
He assured to work on a priority to solve the problems plaguing ward 8, namely the wholesale fish market nuisance, drainage system, garbage disposal, besides roads/parking at the KTC, keeping aside party affiliations.
