The Margao Congress Block has alleged an annual fraud of around ₹24 lakh linked to the erection of pandals for eight Sarvajanik Ganeshutsav Mandals in Margao.
According to the Congress Block, the Public Works Department (PWD) issues tenders for the “erection and provision of pandals” for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at eight locations in the city. However, the party claims that these pandals are actually erected by the respective mandals using their own funds.
