Kamat, the Congress’s Margao MLA, brought to the notice of House about frequent breakdown of power lines due to ongoing JICA work, thereby affecting power supply.
“We have no problem with the JICA work. But the issue is that Margao power sub-station has no manpower to carry out the repair work of power lines causing inconvenience to all,” he said.
Kamat claimed that the failure to get workforce appointed at the sub-station would force people of his constituency to stop the JICA work. “If our issue of frequent power failure is not addressed we will not allow the JICA project to continue,” he said.
