VALPOI: The Melauli villagers have condemned the decision of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, a few days ago who had said that the government would go ahead with the proposed IIT project at Melauli village in Guleli Village Panchayat jurisdiction.

The villagers are very angry over the Chief Minister’s statement. The villagers held the rally in Valpoi town against the proposed IIT project and also held protest in front of Valpoi Deputy Collector Office and gave a memorandum to Deputy Collector Rajesh Azgaonkar for removing the names of villagers from 1 and 14 Forms and demand to investigate the forgery. Around 500 villagers attended.
