Canacona: Chandravati Gaonkar, 65, who was missing from her home at Yeda, Cotigao since last week was found dead on Thursday in the waters of Talpona River a few kilometres away from her residence.
According to Canacona police, the woman was missing for the past seven days. Next day her family had filed a missing complaint with the police.
Her body was seen floating in an irrigation dam at Tamonamoll on Talpona river which is a few kms away from her residence on Thursday.
Police, with the assistance from a team from Fire and Emergencies office, consisting of Leading Fire Fighter Tulsidas Desai and Fire Fighters Chandras Pagi, Prashant Velip and Ratnakar Velip, fished out the highly decomposed body
