In a recent breakthrough, Vasco police successfully apprehended Yusuf Shaikh, a 48-year-old Karnataka native and resident of Davangere, for his involvement in a series of mobile thefts. Shaikh was taken into custody at the KTC bus stand in Vasco, where his suspicious movements caught the attention of law enforcement.
The diligent police force managed to recover a total of nine mobile phones from Shaikh’s possession, with an estimated value of Rs 1,50,000. These stolen phones were traced back to victims in Panjim, Margao, and Colva, highlighting the extent of his illicit activities.

Vasco PI Kapil Nayak revealed that Shaikh is no stranger to criminal activities, describing him as a habitual offender. Nayak disclosed that Shaikh had previously been arrested at Mormugao Police Station last year, where a staggering 20 phones were recovered at that time.
