Besides, Independent Councillor Mahesh Amonkar, who was once the close aide of Digambar has also lashed out against Digambar. However, all three have declared their full support to the newly elected Chairperson Lyndon Pereira and also assured that they will not engage in toppling the chairperson at any point in time.

Speaking to the media persons, Ghanashyam said that he salutes MLA Vijai Sardesai because for the last five years and now again he succeeded to put up his councillor on the chairperson post.

“Vijay always showed interest in Fatorda first. However, I strongly condemned the decision of Digambar Kamat, Margao MLA, as he has shown any interest in the voters and people of Margao. Margao MLA is lacking something-somewhere,” he alleged.

“I was the most experienced councillor but I got to understand that MLA did not give a proposal to Vijai demanding chairperson post. Because of this, in future, I have to think about me remaining with him or not. First, he has to answer to the people of Margao and to me also, about the decision of selecting two posts of council,” he stated.
