MARGAO: Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik on Thursday proposed to provide smart boards and digital cyclostyling machines to some schools for improving the efficiency in the school administration.
Naik further said that he will consider providing a computer and a printer to around 50 schools on first-come first-serve basis to begin with if school managements allot exclusive rooms for the Parents and Teachers Association.
He was speaking in Cuncolim after inaugurating two high mast lamps, one at Panzorconim and other one at the Cuncolim market, both erected at a cost of Rs 13 lakh. “Illumination of streets is most essential. And citizens are feeling the need for better illumination considering the crimes taking place in the towns and villages,” he said
Cuncolim Municipal Chairperson Devendra Desai and GPCC general secretary and MPT Trustee Altinho Gomes also spoke on the occasion.
