VASCO: Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho said on Tuesday that the multilevel car parking facility at the International Airport, Dabolim, would be operational by end of October.
Speaking at a review meeting held at the Airport Authority of India, Dabolim office, Godinho assured to make the parking facility functional by October end. And he opined that the new facility would solve the haphazard parking at the airport.
Last Friday, Herald had highlighted that the multilevel pay parking facility was lying idle since its inauguration in December 2017. The facility was built at a cost of around Rs 50 crore.
With no proper parking facility at the airport, most of the vehicles are found parked by the side of the highway.
After the meeting, Godinho told the media persons that the parking and safety issues at the airport have been resolved.
