MAPUSA: The Nerul Comunidade has expressed displeasure over the lack of staff at the office of the Administrator of Comunidades of North Zone at Mapusa due to which several cases are pending since 2016. Several complaints made by Nerul comunidade in regards to illegal filling of fields, encroachments are not attended to.
Encroachments files are not cleared; the violators are building houses and other illegalities are being carried out full swing even after stop work order issued.
On Friday, Nerul Comunidade Attorney Romana Cordo told Herald that the North Goa comunidades have finally got an administrator but no staff.
“We have got a full time administrator but what about staff. How can the administrator function without adequate staff. Only three people are working and atleast 25 comunidades are placed under the North Zone administrator. I went to meet the administrator and saw that the office was understaff. Cases of the year 2016 are still pending,” she said.
The Attorney of Nerul comunidade put forth her grievance that there was a lot of work of their comunidade itself that was pending.
“Several complaints made by Nerul comunidade in regards to illegal filling of fields, encroachments are not attended to. Encroachment files are not cleared; the violators are building houses even after stop work order is issued. When the administrator is questioned he is saying there are no staffers, what am I supposed to do?” she said.
