VASCO: Condemning the brutal gang rape/murder of Delhi girl, NGO Savera President Tara Kerkar has urged the Union Home Minister to award stringent punishment to the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
In her letter to the Union Home Minister, Kerkar stated that even after 65 years of Independence the mindset of Indian men has not changed against the women of this country and the gruesome behaviour of some men has tarnished the image of the country.
“Crimes committed against women are deliberately concealed by the police and the politicians, due to which women/girls do not come forward to file any complaints against the accused,” stated Kerkar.
Kerkar has urged the Union Home Minister to award stringent punishment to the perpetrators of the heinous crime so that others will think twice before committing similar crime.
“There should be no trial for the accused involved in rape/molestation cases and based on the medical report of the victim, the accused should be awarded stringent punishment,” urged Kerkar.
“The culprits should be hanged till death and the Indian government should adopt Arabic laws to deal with rape/molestation accused.”
“The culprits should be lodged in dark jails throughout their lives till death and the police should not cover the face of the accused so that media can highlight the report with the photo of the accused so that once they are released from the jail the general public will recognise the culprit and be on guard,” stated Kerkar.
