PANJIM: The National Students Union of India (NSUI), Goa unit on Friday launched online protest appealing Goa University not to conduct final year semester examinations in offline/physical mode and to implement last academic year’s method to evaluate students based on their previous semester marks, international assessment and the online test.
Addressing a press conference, NSUI Goa president Ahraz Mulla welcomed the Goa government’s decision to cancel class X and XII final year exams taking into account health of the students and demanded cancellation of final year semester examinations in offline/physical mode.

“Is the health of final year students not important/precious for Goa government. How can you come up with a notice stating that offline exams will take place for final year students? This means government is doing discrimination,” he said.
NSUI North Goa president Naushd Chawdhari demanded that the Goa government should follow former Goa University Registrar Prof Y U Reddy’s last academic year method of evaluating final year students.
Chowdhari appealed to all final year students to send mails to the Goa University authorities. “You have to bombard their emails with their grievances and above two demands so that the authorities realise the concerns of students,” he said.
