MARGAO: Margao Women Child police cell, PSI Rupa NAik has registered an offence under section 363, 376 IPC and section 8 of Goa Child Act against accused Sahish Vaikunth Senvi Barad (19), a resident of Rawanfond, Margao. He has since been arrested.
A complaint filed by the father of a minor girl stated that the accused eloped with his 16 year-old daughter to Collem after she answered her Std X.
The duo were detained by Collem police on a night round after finding the duo moving suspiciously and during interrogation, confessed.
Later, the father of the minor girl filed a complaint of kidnapping and missing, following which the police arrested the boy.
