Overflowing Comba sewerage poses a health hazard

Margao: The people from Comba are tired of the inaction in the face of health hazards caused by the overflowing of sewerage water from chambers near Vithal Mandir, Comba, in Margao.

Margao: The people from Comba are tired of the inaction in the face of health hazards caused by the overflowing of sewerage water from chambers near Vithal Mandir, Comba, in Margao.
A letter has been written to the Executive Engineer PWD, Sewerage Works Division No.XXI by the the Councillor of MMC Ketan Kurtarkar. The letter said that on various occasions they have begged the officials to take immediate remedial steps to stop the overflowing of sewerage chambers at Comba, Margao which pose a health hazard to the thickly populated residential area. 
“Despite the above, till date no remedial steps have ben taken for reasons best known to the authorities. This even after verifying the facts during site inspection. It is sad to state that the officials are playing with health of people, acting in a most criminal manner, which may give rise to various diseases such as Malaria, Dengue etc” alleged Councillor Ketan. 
As a result of the inaction, today the entire residential area was flooded with sewerage water at Vithal Mandir, Comba, Margao. The Councillor has requested the authorities to take immediately remedial action in public interest and has warned of agitation.
