PANJIM: The Government has constituted a pre-selection committee to select a Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioner, headed by Chief Secretary.
The members include Principal Secretary (PWD) and Secretary (Information & Publicity). The pre-selection committee will shortlist the names and forward them to the Committee that will finally select CIC and SIC to fulfil the provisions of the RTI Act.
According to the notification the pre-selection committee will go through the applications received for both the posts and its report to the Government within two weeks.
