PANJIM: Soon after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar returned to Goa and resumed his campaign for the Panjim by-election on Friday evening.
He met voters at Altinho polytechnic quarters and government quarters, besides at Bhatulem government quarters. Accompanied by a large group of supporters, the Chief Minister also went door-to-door meeting people in other parts of the city.
As the campaign for the by-polls is on, election observers are keeping a close watch on poll related activities. The Election Commission of India has deputed observers to Panjim and Valpoi Assembly constituencies. These observers will be available to meet the people, candidates and political parties. IRS officer Kanika Agarwal is deputed as expenditure observer.
