PERNEM: Pernem police late Wednesday night detained around 72 migrant labourers at Pernem Railway Station and later dropped them at Betim.
According to sources, Pernem Mamlatdar Anant Malik received a call from the Malpe railway station incharge informing that 72 migrant labours had come to the railway station.

A team of Pernem Police headed by PI Sandesh Chodankar rushed to the spot and detained all 72 migrant labourers.
Sources informed that these migrant labourers are natives of Uttar Pradesh and were staying at Betim. However on Wednesday evening they had come to Malpe railway station onboard a trolley truck expecting the railway service to be open and proceed back to UP since they were facing difficulties in Goa.
Pernem police later dropped them at Betim.
