Police probing Assam couple suicide case

PANJIM: A day after an Assamese couple was found dead at their rented room, Panjim police have begun a probe into the circumstances that led them to take an extreme step.  
Shrimanta Borah, 31 and wife Rimpi, 22 were found dead at their Taleigao home and preliminary investigation revealed they committed suicide.
Old Goa Police Inspector Sudesh Velip, holding additional charge of Panjim police station said the autopsy report of Shrimanta ascertained death due to hanging. The post-mortem of Rimpi is pending as her family members are yet to arrive in Goa. 
“We are examining into all circumstances that led them to commit suicide. All evidence is being collected and questioning of witnesses is underway,” the officer told Herald. 
The man was found hanging while the woman was lying dead on the bed. There was no suicide note but it is suspected to be a case of suicide.
