Following complaints from cloth merchants in the New Market area about footpath vendors blocking access for customers, Ponda Municipal Council Chief Officer and Chairperson Veer Dhavalikar conducted an inspection of the site.
After assessing the situation, the officials assured traders that the encroachments would be cleared promptly and that strict action would be taken against vendors who fail to comply with municipal regulations.
