A 44-year-old PDA Colony resident, Mihir Agshikar, was allegedly assaulted by three men near Joybees Wine Shop in Porvorim after he objected to them consuming alcohol in public, police said.
Following the incident, the police identified all three accused involved in the assault and arrested one of them, Suman Thapa (31). Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining two accused.

According to police sources, the assault occurred after Agshikar raised objections to public drinking in the area, which led to an altercation that turned violent. He sustained injuries in the attack and was later provided medical assistance.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is in progress to ascertain the exact sequence of events and the role of each accused in the incident.
