MARGAO: South Goa Member of Parliament Francisco Sardinha has demanded an investigation, and strict action against police personnel found to have close ties with drug peddlers. Sardinha also called for the arrest of political leaders, if found involved in the drugs nexus.
Herald in its exclusive report highlighted the arrest of inter-state drug peddler Priteesh Narayan Borkar alias Babu of Anjuna and revealed the names of six major drug dealers, as well as one of Borkar’s accomplices. The South Goa MP expressed shock that the police are unaware of the drug peddlers and their movements in Goa, highlighted in the Telangana police’s report.
