Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza said the builders will be under a strict condition that their project will allot sufficient space for multi level parking. A final decision is however not taken which, sources said will be done in consultation with related agencies, stakeholders and experts.
The statement comes at the time when two ODPs are kept open for public views while some more are in the process of being displayed.
Moreover, the NGPDA will also move the Goa government seeking approval to put up ODPs of Panjim, Candolim and Calangute for public suggestions and objections. It had also contemplated to grant free FAR to upcoming buildings for constructing an extra floor, provided it is exclusively allotted for parking.
Meanwhile, the TCP will be the implementing authority following a final decision. At present, the government has approved FAR for four-star hotels in the coastal belt and educational institutions.
