People from Ponda including former MLA Mohan Amshekar, Ridaynath Shirodkar, Ajay Bhuva and Adv Vandana Jog gathered at VHP hall on Friday and condemned the attack on Amrut Singh and his associates who were attacked while returning from Belgaum after filing a complaint against illegal cow slaughter. They demanded immediate police action against those involved in the attack.

PONDA: Animal lovers from Ponda have convened a meeting at Kranti Maidan, Ponda, on Saturday at 5.30 pm to protest and demand police action against the attack on Animal Rescue Squad Chief Amrut Singh and two others.
