PANJIM: Advocate John Fernandes of Quepem will release his first Konkani Book ‘Goycho Mull Avaz’ at Quepem on April 28 at 5.30 pm.
Quepem MLA Chandrakant Kavlekar will release the book, written in Devnagri script, in the presence of Goa Konkani Academy President Pundalik N Naik, Goa University Sociology professor Alito Sequeira, Quepem Municipal Council (QMC) Vice Chairperson Mateus Camilo Simoe and Josepha Fernandes.
Former vice president of Goa Konkani Academy Vincy Quadros will speak on the book.
‘Goycho Mull Avaz’ is a compilation of traditional tribal folk songs with an introduction on different tribal concepts like mand, dhalo, intruz and fugdi. The songs in the book are centred around Christian Gawdas, which are phonetically transcribed in Devnagri script.
