Quepem Police have arrested two men from Belagavi in connection with a gold chain snatching case reported earlier this year.
The accused have been identified as Jyotiba alias Prajwal Kitwadkar (29) and Vinayak Pradhan Shankar Pradhan (46). They were arrested for allegedly snatching a gold mangalsutra worth ₹1.9 lakh from a 65-year-old woman.

The incident took place on February 2 at around 8:15 AM outside the victim’s residence in Xeldem, where the accused reportedly targeted her and fled with the jewellery.
Police have taken the accused into custody and are continuing their investigation into the case, including efforts to recover the stolen property and ascertain if the duo was involved in similar offences.
Further legal proceedings are underway.
