Addressing the media persons, here, Franky Gomes, president alleged that the BJP government has completely failed to put in place the issue related to mining and truck owners.

“We have read the Chief Minister’s statement that he is planning to re-start few mining sites. However, he is not bothered about the issues related to the truck owners engaged in mineral ore transportation,” he said.

Franky said starting of few mining sites will lead to major confusion amongst the truck owners.

“The government has no plans to put in place the system of rolling trucks at the mining sites. Truck owners will be forced to run after the ministers to get business. And hence, the government needs to take the issue of truck owners seriously,” he said.

He alleged that the BJP government has completely failed to resolve the mining issue for the past four-and-half years, so they don’t deserve a second chance to rule the State.

He said the mining dependents are still struggling to earn their livelihood due to the closure of mining. All the assurances of the BJP government have resulted in more frustration amongst the people.
