RP 2021: Goencho Avaaz team meets Governor

A team of the NGO raised serious concerns about RP 2021; Voice fears of drastic step taken by TCP Department on March 28; Request urgent intervention of the governor; Governor praises Goencho Avaaz

MARGAO: A team of the NGO ‘Goencho Avaaz’ on Monday met the Governor Mridula Sinha and raised concerns regarding the RP 2021. 
The team voiced their grievances and fears of drastic step taken by TCP Department on March 28. 
The team also placed some slides of ‘Land use change’ presentation related to ministers and MLAs where fields, hills and orchards, which have been shown as green zones, including sand dunes, plateaus, etc were shown as settlements in RP 21. 
Goencho Avaaz also explained reasons why the voluntary organizations were fighting for scrapping RP 2021 and have requested urgent intervention of the governor.
Though there has been no communication from the Goencho Avaaz team sources informed that the Governor had praised Goencho Avaaz, which she termed as the fifth pillar of democracy and gave highest importance in the system that runs the State. 
The Governor has reportedly assured to put forth the concerns before chief secretary and all other concerned authorities pertaining to RP issue.
