Sesa workers want govt to resolve mining issue

BICHOLIM: The Sesa Goa workers Union on Monday set a deadline, requesting the government to resolve the mining issue and threatened to go on a hunger strike from July 1.

BICHOLIM: The Sesa Goa workers Union on Monday set a deadline, requesting the government to resolve the mining issue and threatened to go on a hunger strike from July 1.
Addressing a press conference General Secretary Kishor Lokre said the government was not keen to solve their problem, which is why they will stage an agitation from mat 25, near Old Bus Stand, Bicholim.
“We will give them one month’s time and if the issue is not resolved till  June 30, we will resort to chain hunger strike from July 1,”  General SecretaryLokre said.
