RSS to hold convention

The Sangh in Goa to hold its convention on September 11 on
Sunday to decide strategy to strengthen the movement for medium of instruction
launched by Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM).

Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar who was down in Goa
to celebrate Ganesh festival was expected to broker peace between BBSM and BJP,
but seems to have not taken any significant step towards it as RSS has also
appointed their new chief in Goa.

Sources close to the outsed RSS Goa Chief Subhash Velingkar
has said that there is no question of supporting BJP as they have failed on
main demand on withdrawing grants to English medium schools. BBSM has not
received any communication from Manohar Parrikar, a senior leader of BBSM
informed Herald.

 

Subhash Velingkar said that there were no such attempts to
broker the peace between BBSM and BJP.

Meanwhile, in a fresh move to get BJP-led State government
on its knees, theRSS in Goa has decided to actively involve women in their
fight demanding mother tongue as Medium of Instruction (MOI).

 

The convention, which is expected to be attended by
prominent RSS swayam sevaks from across the State will discuss on the
contributing in a major way for the BBSM movement. RSS will also deliberate on
strengthening the ‘shakhas’ and attracting more people towards it.

 

Velingkar who is spearheading BBSM was relieved from the
post on August 31 this year by RSS after the manch (BBSM) showed their intent
to float a political party to counter BJP during upcoming Goa Assembly polls.
The supporters of Velingkar had detached themselves from Konkan prant, and had
formed Goa prant, directly communicating with the Nagpur Headquarter.

 

RSS appointed new chief in Goa

 

RSS on Saturday announced Laxmkan Behre has its new Goa
Vibhag Sangh Chalak, giving a clear signal to the rebellion faction that their
existence is not recognized.

 

 “The appointment of
Laxman Behre as Goa Vibhash Sangh Chalak was issued last evening by RSS
Headquarters. In yet another order, Mahesh Dhavalikar has been designated as
Karyavah of Konkan Prant,” a senior Sangh official said.

 

RSS had relieved Subhash Velingkar from the post of Goa
Vibhag Sangh Chalak after Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) had showed its
intend to float a political party ahead of Goa Legislative Assembly election to
oppose BJP.
