Russian national assaults German in Siolim

PANJIM: The Anjuna Police have registered an FIR against a Russian national for allegedly assaulting a German national at a restaurant at Siolim.

According to police, Grigory Babuschkin, 53, a German national presently residing at Mardi Wada, Morjim, Pernem, lodged a complaint stating that on December 12, the alleged accused Kiril Kirilov entered a restaurant, abused, wrongfully restrained and assaulted him with a sharp object on his left hand, thereby causing him injuries.

The FIR has been registered under sections 352 (intentionally insulting someone to provoke a breach of peace), 118(1) (intentional infliction of harm on another person using dangerous tools or methods) and 126(2) (wrongful restraint) of BNS and the case is being investigated by PSI Navneet Goltekar of Anjuna Police Station.
