PANJIM: A youth from Sanguem, having travelled to European countries, has been kept in isolation at Goa Medical College and Hospial (GMC) for suspected COVID-19. With this, there are three persons currently in isolation.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane told media persons that while three persons are in isolation, 36 are quarantined at home. “There are no positive cases in Goa so far,” he said.
When contacted, GMC Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar said the Sanguem youth was kept in isolation on Thursday. He said the youth, was on the same ship, on which the 27-year-old man from Vasco, who is also under isolation, was working on.
The person, with travel history to European countries, has been declared stable for now, while his blood sample report is awaited.
The suspect has had a cough and fever for the last two days since he returned to Goa, he said. The man had travelled to Finland and Italy in February 2020, he said.
Along with these two, there is another 23-year-old woman from Sanquelim in isolation. She had travelled from Dubai.
