CANACONA: Canacona police arrested Atchut Pagi, on Friday, the second occupant of the car that was involved in the road rage incident reported at Palolem-Agonda junction on Thursday.
Atchut Pagi has been arrested under Section 307 read with Section 34 of IPC. And the driver (the main accused) who was arrested on Thursday has been remanded in police custody for three days.
A Nagarcem resident was allegedly intentionally knocked down by a car driven by Anand Pagi over an argument of alleged rash driving by him. The entire incident had been recorded through a camera installed at a nearby building, on the basis of which and eye witnesses account, police succeeded in arresting the driver and the main accused Anand Pagi from Dona Paula.
Sources said that the car involved in the incident was recovered from Agonda on Thursday night and is attached by the police as evidence.
Meanwhile, police on Friday also succeeded in arresting the co-passenger who was in the car with the accused and allegedly instigated the driver after which the unfortunate incident happened, police said.
Police said that the condition of the victim who is admitted in Goa Medical College and Hospital is stable.
