BJP Shiroda MLA Mahadev Naik on Monday launched his election campaign in the constituency at Shivnath Devasthan.
Goa Pradesh Congress Party President Subhash Shirodkar, who represented Shiroda for 25 years, also commenced his election campaign with corner meetings at Borim, Nirankal and other places.
Mahadev Naik also convened meetings with party workers at various places. Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar and Vishnu Wagh also addressed party workers and conducted door-to-door meetings with local voters.
On the other hand, Shirodkar, who at the last election voted out, was seen holding meetings with workers along with local party leaders, including sarpanchas and panchas from the constituency.
Congress workers are also seen visiting door-to-door for their party candidate.
