It is an attempt to silence the Opposition, but we are not afraid, says united Opposition

OLD GOA: After Congress Vice President Sunil Kawthankar was summoned by the Old Goa Police, Opposition have cited that the summons dated 17 December 2024 have asked him to appear on 17 October 2024 before the Old Goa Police. This shows the great hurry in which they have sent the summons.

The summons were ready on 16th December itself, when the police phone Sunil Kawthankar, but the concerned police officer was not in office, when Kawthankar was at the police headquarters to meet the DGP, Kawthankar stated.

AAP Working president narrated the sequence of events and said it was an attempt to silence the Opposition, but we are not afraid.

“We are not the accused, they have not sent summons to the accused. The people who have been named in the video have to be sent summons. Here we are being hounded and harassed .  
United Opposition

AAP Goa President Amit Palekar has clarified that he is not a lawyer of Suleiman Khan. He has neither signed the Wakalatnama nor has he appeared before any court as the counsel for Suleiman. The CMO has sent letter to the media and some media have published it. They should have checked with me if it was true.

Meanwhile, Mapusa JMFC has rejected the bail application of fugitive Suleiman Khan on Tuesday.
