Smart City team informs CCP of projects

PANJIM: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) on Tuesday held a meeting with councillors of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) to make them aware of the various projects being taken up in the city under the smart city mission. 
The meeting was attended by Mayor Vithal Chopdekar, 12 councillors and officials of the municipal administration. IPSCDL chief executive officer Swayandipta Pal Chaudhuri made a presentation on the projects the agency will take up in a bid to make the city smart. 
Speaking to Herald after the meeting, Chopdekar said that various projects like smart cards system, solid waste management system, beautification of St Inez creek, Dona Paula jetty and Miramar beach, identifying no parking zones, footpaths, underground cabling, replacement of electrical poles will be taken up for the city under smart city mission. 
Chopdekar said the Corporation has requested Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited to level the roads and footpaths in the city, which are currently out of shape. “Also we discussed the new drainage system and cleanliness of the existing drains,” he said.
