PANJIM: In a significant development, the Goa Children’s Court has extended the police custody of Bengaluru-based data scientist and startup founder, Suchana Seth, by an additional five days.
Suchana Seth is facing allegations of murdering her son in a service apartment on January 7, in Goa. The order to extend her custody was passed after the police asserted that Suchana was not cooperating adequately in the ongoing investigation.
Suchana, who was initially remanded to police custody, will now remain in custody until January 19, following the Goa Children’s Court’s order. The police sought extension of her custody citing the need for further interrogation and cooperation from the accused to unravel the details surrounding the tragic incident.
The case has garnered significant attention due to the nature of the allegations and the involvement of a prominent data scientist and startup founder.
Suchana’s cooperation, deemed crucial by the investigating authorities, is anticipated to provide valuable insights and help establish a clearer understanding of the events leading up to the incident.
In a bone-chilling incident, Suchana Seth (39), a high profile Bengaluru- based tech entrepreneur and CEO of Mindful Al Lab, was been arrested in Karnataka, while fleeing in a taxi from a service apartment in Sinquerim Goa, after killing her four-year-old son, and then carrying the body stuffed in a bag.
