Three held with wild boar meat
PONDA: Three persons were detained after forest department sleuths raided a poultry farm in Banastarim and seized meat of wild boar. According to reports, the Ponda range forest office staff conducted a raid with the help of an animal welfare group at the poultry farm and detained Shashikant Ganokar (45), Datta Ganokar (63) and Naveen Devidas in this connection. The meat, a car and other implements used in the offence have also been seized by the forest team. 
Minor kidnapped from Sao Jose de Areal
MARGAO: The mother of a 17-year-old girl from Dhon Kuris, Sao Jose de Areal has lodged a complaint with the Maina-Curtorim Police that her daughter has been kidnapped from the rented room by one Arjun, who is the accused in this case. Offence under section 363 IPC and 8 of Goa Children Act has been registered against the accused.
Labourer commits suicide at Margao
MARGAO: Akalesh Lakada, a 28-year-old labourer, residing at Shantinagar – Rawanfond, Margao, committed suicide by hanging in a toilet. The brother-in-law of the deceased, Komal Kajur, informed police on Saturday that his brother-in-law Lakada had hanged himself with nylon rope to the rafter in the toilet near his rented room. The body of the deceased was referred to Hospicio morgue by the police who have registered a case of unnatural death. No foul play is suspected in the case.
Canacona youth held for stalking 
MARGAO: Margao PSI Girendra Naik arrested Joel Fernandes, a 25-year-old resident of Canacona against whom an offence of stalking was registered under section 354(D) IPC upon complaint from the victim girl. The accused was traced at Dramapur and taken into custody. He was later released on a bail bond. A complaint had been lodged by the victim girl on October 29, at the Margao police that an unknown accused since October 20, had been following her on many occasions and she further stated that he contacted her from his cell phone.  
Interim bail denied in Vasco assault case
MARGAO: Additional south Goa district court, rejected the anticipatory bail pleas moved by accused Amir Hussain and Sangmesh Turdigi, both from Mangor Hill, Baina-Vasco, who are wanted by police in connection with a case of assault and for causing grievous injuries. According the Vasco police Hussain and Turdigi formed unlawful assembly along with 8 others and armed with deadly weapons and with an intention to kill, brutally assaulted Rehman Kattiman and Maulali Shaikh with punches, kicks and a knife. Kattiman and Shaikh were injured and had to be hospitalized for more than a fortnight. Two accused – Durgesh and Manju, were arrested and later released on bail.
