In a swift breakthrough, Pernem police on Tuesday arrested three individuals from Maharashtra in connection with the recent assault and attempted robbery of a taxi driver in the Pernem area.
The accused have been identified as Shankar alias Hadya, son of Madhukar Pawar (24), Raju alias Gudya, also son of Madhukar Pawar, and Ajay, son of Sunil Bhosale (27). All three hail from Maharashtra and were allegedly involved in the violent incident that left a local taxi driver injured.

According to police, the trio assaulted the victim in an apparent bid to rob him. Based on the complaint filed and preliminary investigations, the suspects were traced and apprehended.
