Vasco, Goa: A tragic incident at Mangoor Hill claimed the life of a three-year-old boy, Ankush Yadav, on Friday after he allegedly came into contact with a live electric wire connected to a metal shed near his residence.
According to preliminary information, the toddler suffered a severe electric shock while playing near the shed. Family members and locals immediately rushed him to the Sub District Hospital in Chicalim, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The incident has left the local community in shock, with residents expressing concern over the presence of exposed electrical connections in residential areas.
Vasco Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident. Authorities are expected to examine whether any negligence or safety lapses contributed to the tragedy.
The unfortunate death has once again highlighted the importance of ensuring electrical safety in residential neighbourhoods to prevent such incidents, especially involving young children.
