VASCO: A 23-year-old driver of a Maharashtra-bound trailer died in a mishap at Verna. The victim has been identified as Sunil Santram Pal, a resident of Sidhandhnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
According to Verna police, the trailer driver, while proceeding towards Margao from Verna, lost control of the vehicle on the Verna slope.
The vehicle collided into the iron railing and overturned. The driver was trapped in the cabin and removed by Verna fire officials.
He was taken to GMC, Bambolim, where he was declared brought dead.
