PONDA: Usgao-Ganjem water consumers have voiced their opposition to include them in PWD (Water Division) Valpoi.
The locals demanded that they be retained with the Ponda PWD as it is convenient for them to avail new water connections and address their grievances related to water bills, etc.

They said PWD office Dag-Ponda is convenient for them as they have to travel a distance of just 10 kms. If they are included in Valpoi office then they will have to cover a long distance of 25 kilometres which is not only time consuming but also waste of money.
The locals said the fuel prices have skyrocketed and it is not possible for them to bear this extra cost.
The Usgao Panchayat passed a resolution opposing the inclusion of panchayat in Valpoi PWD Water Division.
