Mormugao Police is yet to trace the three inmates of Sada Sub Jail, who escaped from the judicial lock-up by drilling a hole in the cell toilet in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Assistant jailor from Central Aguada jail Ramnath Gawde has been posted at Sada Sub jail on Wednesday evening, while three police constables have been deployed in the jail.
Mormugao Deputy Collector Levinson Martins informed that a proposal has been made to raise the height of the second gate in par with the compound wall.
“The gate will be built similar to the main gate of the jail, while other major changes have also been suggested to improve the jail and avoid such jail breaks in future,” said Martins.
He said efforts are on to trace the whereabouts of the three inmates, who escaped from the jail.
