MARGAO: The Goa Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) Union has urged the people of Goa to vote and elect Zilla Panchayat (ZP) representatives who will fight for the rights of devolution of powers in letter and spirit of the 73rd amendment.

It further added that it the duty of ever voter to cast his/her vote with responsibility on March 22.
“Goa PRIs Union would strongly recommend that only those ZP candidates who would fight for their right of devolution of powers & funds to the PRIs in true letter and spirit of the 73rd Constitutional Amendment be elected since the successive governments have ignored them so far in spite of assurances given on various platforms including the High Court” said President of Goa PRIU J. Santano Rodrigues.
