The accumulation of garbage waste in the forest area at Redeghati at Valpoi has left many residents in shock and questioning the role of the forest official in protecting biodiversity. On Monday workers from a private company were seen cleaning the garbage site which was filled with waste things like injections using in hospitals and expiry medicines.
The forest area at Redeghati at Valpoi is filled with garbage, raising concerns over the ill effects of the waste on to the environment. The pile of garbage has also highlighted the negligence of the authorities in clearing the waste and also the shameless behaviour of residents who frequently throw their waste here.

Residents allege that people shamelessly throw the waste during night time, to avoid getting caught by authorities. To put an end to the stinky misery, residents urged the panchayat authorities of Valpoi and Mausi to take strict action as the entire stretch falls under the village panchayats of Valpoi and Mausi.
