PANJIM: Panjim police Thursday arrested a woman for theft of gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 2.50-lakh.
The arrest was made on a complaint filed by Joao De Souza that his niece Ana Fernandes robbed the valuables from his apartment at Taleigao post-Christmas last year.
In his complaint, Joao said that two gold bangles, imported locket, three gold chains, diamond pendant, pair of diamond earrings, two sets of necklaces, a pair of diamond earrings and another set of earrings along with imported pendant were robbed from his house.
