CURCHOREM: A 26-year-old woman was found murdered in her house at Mirabhag-Curchorem, on Thursday.
According to Curchorem police, a neighbour of the victim saw the body lying in the house when she went to visit her and accordingly she informed the local Sarpanch Sanjay Naik who in turned informed the police.
“We immediately reached the site and shifted the body at Cacora Primary Health Centre where doctor declared her brought dead but found sharp injuries on her. So, after panchanama, we registered the case under Section 302 against unknown person,” informed investigating officer PI Ravindra Desai.
Dog squad, finger print and a forensic expert have been pressed into services to investigate the case.
DIG Vimal Gupta, South Goa SP Shekar Prabhudessai, Quepem Dy SP Sammy Tavares visited the site.
