FATORDA: Auxilium High School, Benaulim edged past Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem 1-0 to move into the next round of the U-14 Suborto Mukerjee Cup (Salcette Zone), at artifical turf, Fatorda, on Saturday.
The all important goal was scored by Manfred Pinto in the 34th minute of the second half for Auxilluim High School.
In another match Loyola High School, Margao outplayed Our Lady of Succor High School, Nagoa 3-0.
Phil Braganza, Achillies Fernandes and Rohan Viegas scored in the 10th, 15th and 50th minutes respectively.
While, Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda thrashed St Jude High School, Betalbatim 4-0 wherein Jadon Borges scored a brace while Meldon Olieveira and Jesvon Cardoza scored a goal each.
In the fourth match of the day, Bethany Convent High School, St Jose de Areal defeated St Rita High School, Maina 4-2.
