MAPUSA: Churchill Brothers SC came back twice to hold Dempo SC to a 2-2 draw in a Reliance Foundation Development League match at Guirim ground, on Monday.
Dempo has four points while Churchill Brothers has one point. Topan Minj and Asmon Viegas scored Dempo while Mevzen Oliveira and Shrine Clements netted for Churchill Bros.

The Golden Eagles drew first blood in the 8th minute as a cross by Velancio Rodrigues was tapped in by Topan Minj.
Dempo, time and again, attacked the rival citadel but Churchill’s custodian Eknath Rathod brought off five out-of-the blue saves to deny Shreyash Naik twice, Velancio Rodrigues, Asmon Viegas and Sahil Inamdar once each.
It was in the 85th minute that Velancio’s strike hit a rival defender and the ball rolled to Asmon Viegas who slotted the ball in.
The Red Machine went all out in search of the equalizer and a dangerous cross by Mackenzie Fernandes was tipped to safety by Dempo’s goalkeeper Savio Pereira. However, minutes later, custodian Savio and a defender failed to deal with a cross from Mackenzie and Shrine Clemente slammed the ball into the unguarded goal.
